The countdown to Christmas is on at Thimbleby!
It might only be the beginning of November, but here at Thimbleby Shooting Ground we’ve had our planning hats on for some time to make sure it’s our best one yet. Over the past 12 months we’ve added lots of new brands to the gun room so it’s a proper Christmas shopping destination, and we’ve also got some fun shooting and eating experiences up our sleeve to help you get in the festive spirit this year. Clay shooting and Christmas lunch? Sounds like heaven to us! Let’s take a closer look at what’s on this Christmas at Thimbleby Shooting Ground…
New Festive Shooting Packages
You can start the festive season off with a bang with our new festive packages which combine a shooting experience for a couple or a group of up to five people with a delicious three-course Christmas lunch. There are two packages to choose from, perhaps depending on how keen you are to get to the eating element of the experience:
● A lesson with 25 clays, 25 cartridges and a three-course lunch for £99pp
● A lesson with 50 clays, 50 cartridges and a three-course lunch: for £119pp
The shooting lesson is with one of our experienced instructors and is totally tailored to the experience level of those attending, so it can be a perfect introduction to shooting or the chance to troubleshoot (pun intended) some niggling issues. Once you’ve blown the cobwebs away dusting some clays, you’ll head to our warm and welcoming clubhouse for a delicious three-course Christmas lunch cooked by our professional chef.
These Christmas packages are available to book now and will kick off from the 22nd of November. Our Christmas Menu
Our new chef Lisa has been busy in the Thimbleby kitchen creating a delicious new Christmas menu for all our customers to enjoy. There are two different festive sandwiches to try, both of which come with a side of comforting fries, or a full three-course Christmas feast. Our new Christmas menu can be viewed here and will be served in the cafe from the 22nd of November onwards. If you love a proper festive lunch with all the trimmings but you fancy getting someone else to do the cooking, make sure you get booked in asap!
Gifts Galore in the Gun Room and shop
If you’re visiting Thimbleby for shooting or to sample our new menu in the coming weeks, don’t forget to visit the shop and gun room to browse all the goodies we’re stocking in there right now. We have country and shooting clothing from the likes of Harkila and Laksen, as well as leather gun slips and cartridge bags from local brand Coupland Leather Products and the legendary Croots, among others. If you’re after something to pop under the tree for man’s best friend, then look no further than the gorgeous and colourful dog collars from Pampeano. There’s so much more to explore, and that’s before you even start browsing the guns themselves… If you know your friend or loved one would love something from Thimbleby for Christmas but you’re not sure what, why not get them a gift voucher? They are available in denominations of £25, £50, and £100 and can be put towards anything from the gunroom, the cafe or the shooting ground.
