Surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland woodland and moor, Thimbleby lies in an idyllic rural setting on the edge of the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Open six days a week and featuring a range of targets to suit all abilities, the ground is open to members and non members alike.
Predominantly an English sporting clay shooting ground with a variety of targets such as high pheasant, springing teal and bolting rabbits, we can also offer a flush to round off the day, fun fast and furious, this can be booked in advance.
A 40 metre air rifle range with a selection of targets and guns available for hire offers another alternative for those that enjoy their air rifle target shooting.
Easily accessible from the A1/A19, the ground offers a booking system from Tuesday to Friday. For those who arrive without booking, we always try to fit you in, but we do recommend that you book ahead to avoid delays.
Our clay card system is now operating on count up. Collect a clay card when you arrive and shoot as few or as many clays as you want. Please note – Payment is by Credit or Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal.
We are the first ground in the UK to exclusively operate state of the art, wireless controlled traps, ensuring clays are consistently delivered using a simple card system which allows customers to activate the traps whilst keeping track of the clays used. The system also enables solo shooters to enjoy a round by themselves.
