Ever since we launched simulated game shooting at Thimbleby in 2020, these days have been very popular with customers and members, and for good reason. We’re lucky to have beautiful and varied landscapes at our disposal, ranging from wild moorland and farmland to steep wooded hillsides. Paired with expertly set traps tailored to your group and excellent Yorkshire hospitality, our guests enjoy a truly memorable day of shooting.
For 2025, our team has been hard at work putting together a superb calendar of events for our guests, including our classic simulated game days, single peg offerings and a brand new ‘Glorious Grouse’ day. All our simulated game days can be tailored to cater to shooters of all levels, so whether you’re an experienced gun or new to simulated game shooting, the Thimbleby estate offers the perfect backdrop for an exciting day ‘in the field’. ‘Classic’ Simulated Game Days
Our Simulated Game Days provide everything you need for an unforgettable shooting experience. From the moment you arrive and tuck into a hearty English breakfast through to drinks and a delicious meal, you’ll be treated to the best of Yorkshire hospitality. With all cartridges and clays included, you can focus entirely on the thrill of the shoot, surrounded by the picturesque beauty of the estate.
What’s included:
- Full hospitality: English breakfast, a delicious meal and all drinks
- Premium drives across varied landscapes within the Thimbleby Estate
- All cartridges and clays are included
- Available to book Tuesday to Friday, from 1st of April to 31st of August 2025
- Price: £425 + VAT per gun, based on 10 guns
Single Peg Simulated Game Days
For those looking for a more individual experience, our Single Peg Simulated Game Days offer all the same luxuries and excitement as our group days, but on select dates. These days are perfect for smaller groups or solo shooters looking to join in on the fun.
What’s included:
- Full hospitality: English breakfast, a delicious meal and all drinks
- Premium drives across the Thimbleby Estate
- Cartridges and clays included
- 2025 Dates: Friday 16th of May, 20th of June, 18th of July and 22nd of August
- Price: £435 + VAT per gun
The Glorious Grouse Simulated Game Shooting
If you think upland grouse shooting is the ‘creme de la creme’ of driven game, we’ve got the perfect simulated game day for you. The timing is perfect if you’re keen to get your eye in before the Glorious Twelfth comes around again, and the day includes exclusive access to the estate shoot room for breakfast, lunch and drinks.

- Four grouse drives on the spectacular Thimbleby Estate in our grouse butts
- Hospitality: Breakfast, drinks and a delicious meal in the estate shoot room
- Clays and cartridges included
- 2025 Dates: Friday 1st & Tuesday 5th of August
- Price: £695 + VAT per gun based on 10 guns
