Come and experience all the thrills of a traditional game shoot, even out of season, on our fantastic Simulated Game days. This exciting activity is set within the picturesque landscape of Thimbleby Estate which covers some 3000 acres on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
Catering for parties of between 8 – 10 guests, a Simulated Game day at Thimbleby offers your party a range of varied and challenging drives along with all the trappings of a traditional day’s shooting, including first-class hospitality and as many clays as you want.
You and your team will enjoy shooting across grouse moorland, in deep valleys and through steep wooded areas, taking in some of the Estate’s hidden corners, and providing you with challenging and entertaining sport throughout the day.

Our Simulated Game days can be tailored to suit all levels of experience from absolute beginners through to seasoned shots and everyone else in between.
Our team of professional instructors are passionate about making shooting accessible to everyone. They will ensure that novice guns and non-shotgun license holders receive a full safety briefing and gun fitting prior to setting out on the drives and are on hand throughout, to guarantee that your entire party gets the most from their day.
We have a number of buildings and spaces throughout the Estate which can be included in your day, offering your party a private and exclusive venue to hold a product launch, team building event or board meeting in stunning surroundings.
Our packages start from £425 + VAT per person and include all clays, cartridges and safety equipment along with superb hospitality throughout the day. Gun hire is also available where necessary.
Catering for all levels of experience and ability, our syndicate days are open to all license holders and are a great way to enjoy a day in the field with like minded people.
We have a number of days available for individual guns and smaller groups of friends who can enjoy the same exciting shooting and fantastic hospitality without a full team.
Not a seasoned shot but still interested in a syndicate days? We also offer days for non-license holders and those new to shooting. These day are slightly less fast and furious and one of our experienced team will accompany you throughout to make sure you get the most from your day.

Thimbleby Estate is ideally placed to host a range of charity events and competitions all within an idyllic setting on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
Utilising the Estates varied terrain and many amenities, Thimbleby offers a prestigious rural setting, just minutes from the A19 and A1.
Catering for events of all sizes from 10 – 200 people, both our Simulated Game drives and the Shooting Ground are available for your exclusive use as well as a number of venues and setting throughout the Estate.
Our experienced team will be happy to work alongside you to ensure that your event is truly unique and memorable for your guests.

Based on teams of between 8 -10 guns, your day will include all clays and cartridges along with fantastic hospitality throughout. Caps and safety glasses will also be provided and gun hire can be arranged where necessary. Team photos will be provided at the end of the day.
No problem. Our professional team will brief those new to shooting before setting out on the drives and be with you throughout the day to ensure that everyone gets the most from their day in the field.
A typical day will start with breakfast in the clubhouse at 9am followed by the first 2 drives with elevenses in the field in between. Lunch will be served on the estate before a further 2 drives in the afternoon. Your party will finish the day with afternoon tea and prize giving.
Our Simulated days take place in the countryside so suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear are a must.
We run regular syndicate days throughout the season for individuals and smaller groups of friends. These are run exactly the same as a full team day but with a mixed groups instead.

Our standard day starts at £350 + VAT per person which includes all clays and cartridges along with superb hospitality. A cap and safety glasses are also provided for each gun and a team photo at the end of the day.
