Returns Policy

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase or wish to change it, we will gladly exchange or credit any unused items within 28 days of purchase. This excludes sale/reduced items which must be returned within 14 days unless otherwise stated.
Please note we do not accept returns outside of the dates stated in our returns policy, above.
All items must be returned in person to our main retail shop at Thimbleby Shooting Ground (TSG) and must be accompanied by proof of purchase – ideally your receipt.

All returns should be made in their original condition – by this, we mean:

  • • Item(s) should be in an unworn and unused condition
  • • Multi-pack items must all be returned together
  • • If the original purchase contained a free item, this item must also be returned

Returns that are incomplete, unsaleable or do not meet these conditions may be rejected, with all or part of the original price paid withheld. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Our team will assess each return based on the above criteria to determine any suitable deductions, before exchanging, refunding you the balance as a gift card or refunding by your original payment method.
Your statutory rights aren’t affected.

Gun Room Returns Policy

New guns
New guns sold through the Thimbleby gunroom will be covered by the manufacturer or distributor warranty.
Guns are to be returned to the TSG gunroom in order for collection to be organised by the manufacturer. There will be no charge to the customer for the return from TSG to the manufacturer for warranty work.
Manufacturers will endeavour to keep remedial work turn around times to a minimum.
The gunroom records will act to provide proof of purchase that will tie in details of the gun and purchaser.
Woodwork warranty claims will not be accepted if there is a clear sign of accidental damage rather than structural imperfections or incorrect factory fitting. This to be determined by the gunroom staff or manufacturer.

Non warranty return of new guns.
New guns that are returned with no faults after purchase will not be liable for a full refund for the full original purchase price. This is due to the fact that a new gun is purchased at a premium and is inclusive of VAT.
Upon return, the gun will be considered secondhand and therefore command a lower price to account for the loss of VAT and ‘new’ status.
The gunroom will aim to offer as fair a buy-in price as possible but this will be subject to condition and is entirely at our discretion.

Used Guns
Used guns sold by TSG are not subject to warranty.
All secondhand guns are thoroughly inspected for faults and their safe working condition is confirmed prior to being offered for sale.
In some cases, warranties may be agreed upon at the time of purchase and this will be recorded in writing and signed by the gunroom manager.
Any remedial work for faults occurring post sale can be remedied by our extremely capable onsite gunsmith, The Woodworking Gunsmith – James Reynolds. Faults that have developed on guns supplied by TSG will be prioritised.
