Happy New Year from Thimbleby Shooting Ground
Firstly, the team here at Thimbleby Shooting Ground would like to wish all our customers a belated Happy New Year and we hope you are all staying safe and well during this latest lockdown. We are sad not to be able to welcome you to the shooting ground at the moment but send all our support and best wishes to those working on the front line to help those suffering from Covid-19. Here’s hoping the rollout of the vaccination programme to ever-younger people will help us get back to some kind of normality by the time the warmer, drier weather arrives.
Missing your shooting like mad?
Whether you managed to pop in for a round on the clays over Christmas or you haven’t been here since the start of the pandemic, we know plenty of you are missing the chance to get out and shoot. For many the challenges (and occasional frustrations!) of the clay traps provide a welcome distraction after a busy week at work and the chance for some time in the fresh air. We hope it will cheer you to hear that we’ve been working on plenty of updates and improvements to the ground as well as starting the final stages of our clubhouse development. That means that when we can welcome you back here, you’ll get the best possible experience.
Our Sim Days run all year-round
If you’re the sort of person who loves to have something in the diary to look forward to at any given time, then why not take a closer look at our Simulated Game Days? They run all year round, when we can reopen, and offer an exciting day out tailored to provide the right level of challenge for both experienced guns and those newer to the sport. We are so lucky here to run our Sim Days on the Thimbleby Estate which means we offer fantastic variety in our drives. From woodland and farmland to the open space of the North York Moors, you’ll be guaranteed a great day out. Our hospitality is just as good as what you would find on a driven game day with breakfast, elevenses and lunch all included. Another event to add to the diary (date announcement coming very soon) is a Thimbleby competition. We are still working to finalise the details, but make sure you keep an eye on our social media feeds and sign up to the newsletter to be first to know when we share more information.
